Early exit options

We know that plans change, which is why we’ve built flexible completion options into the online Master of Engineering Management. If you need to exit early, you could still receive a Graduate Certificate in Engineering by completing four units (two Core units plus two Elective units).

Entry requirements

To gain entry into the Master of Engineering Management, you must:

  • Have a four-year undergraduate degree in engineering, or in a cognate discipline: OR
  • Have a three-year undergraduate degree in engineering, or in a cognate discipline, plus at least two years of relevant work experience; OR
  • Demonstrate relevant prior learning and/or experience equivalent to the two points above, AND
  • Students must also be proficient in English.

Units of study

The Engineering for a Sustainable Future unit focuses on sustainability and environmental practice, with a focus on serious issues facing the field of engineering.

The Stakeholder Engagement unit will leave you with an understanding of stakeholder engagement plans within an engineering leadership role.

The Strategic Infrastructure Asset Management unit assesses the strategies used to purchase, maintain and enhance the longevity of public and private infrastructure.

Dr. Ghulam is the course coordinator and lecturer in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University. He has over a decade of experience in industry, teaching, and research across prestigious institutions throughout Australia, UAE, KSA and more. Dr. Ghulam specialises in sustainable project management, green building technologies, and innovative engineering practices.
